We’re looking for two new Philanthropy Officers to join our expanding Philanthropy Team. The Philanthropy Team supports the RNLI by working with individuals who are passionate about our work and want to make a difference through high-value gifts. 2025 has been a record-breaking year for the Philanthropy Team and with the organisation about to launch a new five-year strategy this is an exciting time to join the crew and help us develop a sector leading Philanthropy Team.

Your role
As a Philanthropy Officer you will be tasked with focus on the following areas:
10. Developing and managing our new mid-level giving programme
11. Growing a new portfolio of up to up to 300 donors worth £250k+, giving between £2-20k
12. Creating exciting funding proposals and first-class stewardship opportunities
13. Working closely with our Philanthropy Managers to support the prospecting of larger gifts
About you
You’ll be someone who enjoys relationship building and prospecting for new business/donors. A skilled and confident communicator who understands how to work with multiple stakeholders as part of a team and in isolation. Has a keen eye for detail. Is willing to undertake occasional travel/ overnight stays across the UK and Ireland.
To be considered as a Philanthropy Officer you will need:
14. Experience of writing high quality, compelling proposals and reports
15. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in building internal and external relationships
16. Experience of working on own initiative and managing projects
17. A good understanding of financial reporting and experience in managing your own income pipeline
