Senior Production Engineer – Bristol – £45,000 - £50,000 + Bonus + 33 days holiday + Benefits + Progression
Great opportunity has just become available to join a niche company in Bristol which operates at the forefront of its space. You will join as a Senior Production Engineer and undertake a very varied role, overseeing the design and build of production and assembly.
The Role:
* Directly managing one person.
* Oversee the design and build of assembly fixtures and production tooling.
* Plan and oversee shop-floor layout and process changes.
* Support upgrades and commissioning of new and existing equipment to increase capacity.
* Work with Maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and adherence to PPM schedules.
* Work with Production, Quality, and other departments to define effective work practices and critical processes.
* Coordinate with external suppliers for equipment and service requirements.
* Using solidworks to design jigs and fixtures.
The Person:
* Experience within Plastic/Automotive or FMCG environment, within assembly.
* Working knowledge of 6 sigma.
* ISO9001 experience.
* Experienced with design of jigs and fixtures using Solidworks.
* Knowledge and experience with manufacturing equipment used for an injection moulding process.
