24.33 hours per week (8.40am - 3.15pm x 4 days a week)
Term time only (38 working weeks / 44.6 paid weeks)

Salary: Grade 15 SCP 2 - 4
£24,413 - £25,185 FTE per annum, pro rata
Actual salary from £13,730 - £14,165 per annum
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Early Years Assistant within our school-based nursery providing quality care and education for all children aged We are a passionate reflective school at the heart of a thriving local village community.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated person who will work in partnership with staff, parents, carers and their children to provide quality care for the nursery children. You will adopt a flexible and professional approach in promoting the development, welfare and potential of all children.
You will be responsible for supervising the activities of children within the nursery / school, including both indoor and outdoor areas, ensuring a safe environment is maintained at all times both individually or in various groups. The nursery provides a stable, caring and supportive environment, which facilitates the children's personal, social and moral development. You will ensure that a safe environment is maintained at all times for children, visitors and staff and ensure the safeguarding of all children.
The successful candidate will be expected to meet the following criteria:
* Food hygiene qualification or a willingness to undertake this training.
* First aid qualification or a willingness to undertake this training.
* Experience of working in a nursery setting.
* An appropriate full and relevant Level 3 qualification such as an NVQ, HND, BTEC in early years
* Knowledge and understanding of SFEYFS
* Knowledge and understanding of child development and Early Years Foundation Stage.
* Experience of working with children.
* A willingness to attend courses as required to enhance the knowledge, understanding and skills to improve the level and quality of support given to children.
* Some understanding of child development and ways in which children can be encouraged to learn.
* A team worker.
* Good communication skills.
* Caring and compassionate to pupils needs.
* Be a reflective practitioner with a desire to constantly improve and develop standards both personally and in the setting.
* Commitment to excellent standards.
* Flexibility and patience.
