Associate Director, Strategic Advisor in Life Sciences (Lexica. Member of WSP)
We are looking for an experienced Associate Director, Strategic Advisor in Life Sciences to lead and grow the strategic advisory capability for Lexica, a specialist consultancy transforming environments for clients in health and life sciences. Lexica joined WSP (UK) Ltd in June 2025 and will be fully integrated by January 2026.

Responsibilities
* Delivery: Provide professional, strategic planning and consultancy services to all clients; design bespoke solutions and secure client mandates. Lead operational teams to meet service‑excellence, quality, and performance standards.
* Business development: Grow revenue by pursuing new opportunities, meeting strategic objectives, and achieving growth targets.
* Resource development: Recruit, manage, and develop a high‑performing team; act as key account holder and build lasting client relationships.
* Client management & engagement: Understand client needs, deliver tailored strategic advice, and secure long‑term partnerships. Lead stakeholder engagement and support strategic initiatives with effective communication.
* Estate strategic planning: Lead delivery of estate strategies and development control plans; refine client estate strategies to align with business objectives and asset optimisation.
* Senior leadership support: Accountability for service‑line performance, profit & loss management, and financial analysis against budgets. Identify business opportunities, manage tender responses, and develop thought‑leadership materials.
* Continuous improvement: Implement best practices, tailor best‑practice frameworks to client requirements, and apply robust methodology to strategic planning.
* Team leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior consultants, foster a collaborative environment, and supervise team performance.
Qualifications & Experience
* Significant experience delivering consultancy services within the life‑sciences sector and estates environment.
* Positive client feedback and a proven track record in business development, bid management, and financial performance.
* Strong leadership skills, including team management, stakeholder engagement, and political awareness.
* Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to present at executive board level.
* Knowledge of risk and change management in estates settings.
* Relevant qualifications: chartership level in architecture, engineering, FM, or property; recognised project management credentials; visual‑communication skills (PowerPoint, InDesign).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical presentation tools.
