Bruin are currently hiring a Financial Controller to join our incredible Manchester based finance team on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract basis.
In this role, we are looking for an experienced and hands on Financial Controller that can take hold of the day to day accounting for the group.
Reporting into the Finance Director, you’ll lead the day-to-day finance operations and deliver accurate, insightful reporting to support strategic decision-making. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic setting and enjoys improving processes, systems, and controls. You will also take ownership of monthly group consolidation across multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily finance operations including AP, AR, payroll, and banking
* Prepare monthly management accounts, cashflow forecasts, and board packs
* Manage budgeting and planning cycles, providing clear commercial insight
* Complete monthly group consolidation and intercompany reconciliations
* Maintain strong financial controls, policies, and compliance
* Drive improvements in financial systems, automation, and reporting processes
* Collaborate with external accountants, auditors, and banking partners
About You
* Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or QBE with relevant SME experience
* Experience with multi-entity is essential
* Recruitment sector experience is a plus but not required
* Highly commercial, analytical, and confident communicating with stakeholders
* Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
* Strong systems and process-improvement mindset (Xero/Sage or similar)
