About The Role

Northamptonshire Children's Trust Young People's Service offers support to young people and their families with complex needs, providing targeted interventions to address risks outside the family home, alongside ongoing efforts to keep children safe within families.

What will you be doing?
You will serve as the lead professional or support the lead professional in various tasks aimed at assisting our young people. Responsibilities include conducting return home interviews with young people who go missing, supporting group work delivery, and working with young people at risk of sexual and criminal exploitation, among other concerns, with a focus on addressing extra-familial harm.

Our goal is to deliver the right services at the right time, supporting young people to transition successfully into adulthood.
This is a county-wide role requiring effective travel across Northamptonshire. You will be based at a children's centre near your home.
About You
You are an enthusiastic, self-motivated team player with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
You can work flexibly with families, advocating on behalf of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
You hold a Level 3 qualification in working with children, young people, vulnerable adults, and their families, or have substantial professional experience in this area.
You have experience working directly with families facing multiple challenges and those who find it difficult to engage with services.
You are capable of mediating, negotiating, problem-solving, and conducting individual and family assessments to determine needs and risks.
