Description
As our Assistant Accountant, you'll be the go-to person who keeps the numbers straight and the accounts team smiling. No two days are ever quite the same, but here's a flavour of what you'll be diving into:
Keeping things on track: Work alongside the Accountants to pull together monthly management accounts - the numbers that tell the real story behind the scenes.
Detective work with numbers: Hunt down any little discrepancies in monthly balance sheet reconciliations and make sure everything balances as it should.
Helping leaders make smart decisions: Provide clear, simple analysis for department heads so they know exactly what's going on in their P&L.
Prepayments & accruals: The less glamorous but oh-so-important part - making sure costs and revenues land in the right month.
Cash flow sidekick: Keep an eye on daily bank reconciliations and cash flow forecasting so there are no surprises.
Getting stuck in: Support your teammates with all sorts of operational and admin tasks - no job is too small when it helps the team tick.
Special projects: Jump in on one-off tasks and projects that keep things fresh and interesting.
Being the friendly face: Deal with accounting queries from colleagues and customers in a way that leaves everyone feeling supported.
If you're handy with Excel and like the idea of being the person who makes the numbers make sense, you'll fit right in.
