This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the people strategy of a national organisation that provides essential services, improving lives and promoting independent living across the UK. This role is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with a strong likelihood of becoming permanent for the right candidate. You’ll play a key role in supporting line managers, resolving employee relations issues, and helping shape a positive, high-performing workplace culture. Key Responsibilities Provide first-line advice and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation. Handle employee relations casework, including disciplinaries, grievances, investigations, absence management, and performance issues. Partner with the HR Business Partner on people initiatives that support engagement, retention, and business growth. Support with organisational change processes, restructures, and TUPE where required. Maintain accurate employee data, records, and HR documentation in line with company standards and data protection requirements. Analyse and report on HR metrics to identify trends and support proactive solutions. Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes, documentation, and systems. Actively promote wellbeing, inclusion, and a positive employee experience. Working Hours This is a full-time, office-based role, working Monday to Friday, with the following shift options: 08:30 to 16:30, or 09:00 to 17:00 The position is based at our Bardon head office, offering a consistent working pattern and collaborative office environment. About You CIPD Level 3 qualified is essential; Level 5 is highly desirable. Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice. Previous experience in an HR Advisor or HR Officer role, ideally in a fast-paced or operationally diverse setting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to coach and advise managers at all levels. Comfortable handling sensitive employee relations issues with professionalism and discretion. Well-organised, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
