Are you an experienced Workshop Controller with a background in plant hire or heavy machinery maintenance?


NEOS Engineering are partnered with a leading UK plant hire provider who are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Workshop Controller to manage workshop operations at. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring plant repairs and servicing are delivered efficiently, maintaining high operational standards and supporting field-based engineers.


Key Responsibilities:

* Act as the first point of contact for triaging breakdowns and delivering telephone-based technical support.
* Coordinate workshop repairs, services, and maintenance tasks with internal fitters and third-party suppliers.
* Allocate jobs and maintain accurate service records, job logs, and stock control systems.
* Book and schedule plant services and inspections with customers, ensuring optimal use of engineering resources.
* Identify and process chargeable damage repairs, raising purchase orders and coordinating invoicing.
* Liaise closely with the hire desk to manage plant availability and arrange suitable replacements when needed.
* Support engineers by ensuring they are fully equipped with the necessary parts and information.
