Overview
We are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team at an established regional business near Southampton to manage schemes up to £20 million. The contractor is an established regional business operating across Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex on negotiated and single stage bids up to £30 million, with a sweetspot between £8 and £20 million. They work across education, care, student, leisure, retail and industrial schemes. Turnover is secured through 2029 with other opportunities in the pipeline and they have just been awarded two new schemes to start in July this year.
Responsibilities
* Assist and advise on cost plans while estimating and business development activities to strengthen tenders and bids.
* Upon award, manage subcontractor selection and procurement of packages.
* Take schemes on‑site and manage through to the final account, including payments, valuations, variation accounts, forecasting, CVR preparation and other usual cost‑control activities.
* Operate with full autonomy on site within company guidelines, reporting directly to the Commercial Director and working closely with the PM and delivery team to achieve the best results for the company.
