School Caretaker | Hastings | £15 - £17 per hour | Full Time
This school is seeking a reliable, proactive, and hands-on School Caretaker to join their friendly team in Hastings. This is a key role in ensuring the school remains a safe, clean, and weing environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site maintenance: Carry out minor repairs, painting, and general upkeep of buildings and grounds
2. Security: Open and lock the school premises, monitor CCTV, and ensure site safety
3. Health & safety: Conduct regular checks and supportpliance with safety regulations
4. Cleaning & waste management: Support cleaning teams and manage waste disposal
5. Event setup: Assist with furniture arrangements and logistics for school events
6. Contractor liaison: Supervise external contractors and report issues to the Site Manager or Headteacher
What We’re Looking For
7. Previous experience in a caretaker or facilities role (school experience preferred)
8. Basic DIY and maintenance skills
9. Goodmunication and organisational abilities
10. A positive attitude andmitment to safeguarding
11. Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
