Global Programme Support Officer – Prifysgol Aberystwyth University

Location: Aberystwyth, Wales – part‑time, fixed term contract until 31/07/2026 (18.25 weekly hours)

Salary: £27,319.19 – £30,378.43 per annum pro‑rata.

Contract type: Fixed Term, Part‑time. Employment visa sponsorship not available.


About the role

Aberystwyth University is looking for a Global Programme Support Officer to work within the Global Engagement team to help manage the administration around international student mobility (incoming and outgoing) and associated funding streams.

We welcome applications from individuals seeking full‑time, part‑time, job share or term‑time only working arrangements.


Key responsibilities

* Support the Global Programme team with the administration of student funding (Taith, Turing, US student loans, external scholarships).
* Maintain and update data related to outbound student mobility and inbound external student mobility.
* Assist with the preparation for summer school activity.
* Update webpages relevant to the activities of the Global Programme team.
* Support reporting, financial monitoring and other administration related to funding streams.
* Assist with health and safety duties and report any incidents.
* Be proactive on equality, diversity and inclusion, and commit to the University’s policies.
* Additional duties as required by the line manager.
* Successful applicants will be subject to a DBS check.


Essential qualifications and skills

* Degree level or equivalent.
* Strong numeracy and attention to detail – paid attention to proofreading numbers and text.
* Digital literacy – comfortable using spreadsheets, databases and other administrative systems.
* Administrative skills – experience managing multiple concurrent tasks.
* Teamwork experience – working within a team and independently.
* Awareness of bilingual working, and knowledge of how the University supports bilingual staff.


Desirable qualifications

* Advanced spreadsheet skills.
* Knowledge and experience of student systems and administrative processes in higher education.
* Empathy, openness and confidence around stakeholders.
* Welsh language – spoken and written B2 or better.
