Flourish - High Intensity CBT/EMDR Therapist
Job Summary
Calling all High Intensity CBT and EMDR Therapists. Our newly piloted Flourish service – part of the Complex Trauma Pathway – is based in North Dorset (Blandford, Sherborne, Shaftesbury, Weymouth and Portland). We are recruiting for a dynamic role that offers full‑time, part‑time and job‑share opportunities across these sites.
The Flourish concept provides a PTSD/Trauma pathway for patients who need more complex psychological interventions. Patients who participated in the pilot reported life‑changing benefits, including improved emotional regulation and a more positive outlook.
Main Duties
 * Provide one‑to‑one high‑intensity CBT or EMDR, alongside stabilisation and collaboration with Peer Specialists to deliver the Flourish care model for adults with symptoms of PTSD and C‑PTSD.
 * Maintain accurate clinical records, manage time effectively and communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams.
 * Work within the NHS framework (or equivalent) and adhere to professional standards.

Requirements
Essential:
 * Doctoral‑level qualification in clinical psychology (recorded/registered).
 * High‑Intensity IAPT qualification (Post‑Graduate Diploma) or equivalent therapy training.
 * Registered with a recognised professional body (HPC, BABCP, etc.).
 * Significant experience as a psychological therapy practitioner with demonstrated competence in CBT.
 * Enhanced DBS check required (cost covered by the Trust).
 * Current UK professional registration.
Desirable:
 * EMDR therapist accreditation and/or training in Schema or Attachment theory.
 * Experience working in primary care services and achieving clinical targets.
 * Knowledge of outcome monitoring and relevant measures (e.g., PCL‑5, ReQual).
 * Experience in risk assessment and safeguarding.
