Commercial Lead – UK (Semiconductor | Hardware & Software) - Security and Defense


A fast-growing semiconductor innovator is looking for an exceptional Commercial Lead to elevate all customer-facing commercial operations. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on shaping strategy, influencing outcomes, and driving commercial excellence across global markets.

As a senior commercial partner, you’ll lead pricing, contracts, business models, and commercial governance, ensuring alignment across product, sales, legal, and executive teams. You’ll play a pivotal role in helping the company scale its breakthrough technology and strengthen its commercial foundations worldwide.


What You'll Lead:

* Define and deliver the company’s commercial strategy across hardware and software offerings.
* Own pricing models, commercial terms, and deal structures for subscription, licensing, and managed services.
* Partner closely with legal to craft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and T&Cs.
* Support leadership, sales, product, and finance teams with commercial insights that drive strategic decisions.
* Ensure alignment with UK and international commercial regulations, adapting strategies across regions.
* Lead financial analysis and modelling to guide pricing, forecasting, margins, and revenue optimisation.


What You Bring:

* Strong background in commercial leadership or business development within technology, cybersecurity, or infrastructure sectors.
* Proven expertise in pricing strategies, commercial models, and contract management.
* Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with executive, product, finance, and legal teams.
* Solid understanding of UK commercial frameworks and awareness of global variations.
* Analytical mindset with confidence in financial modelling and commercial evaluation.


Bonus Skills:

* Experience in government, defence, or critical infrastructure environments (SC/DV clearance familiarity a plus).
* Understanding of international contracting frameworks.
* Exposure to RFI/RFP processes, tender management, or strategic partnerships.
* Commercial governance or finance qualifications (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, etc.).
