Job Description:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer specializing in Manufacturing Equipment and Facilities Acquisitions to join Rolls-Royce in Derby. This role involves supporting and delivering new capital equipment projects, managing a portfolio of 1 to 10 projects concurrently, and collaborating with equipment manufacturers and internal stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have experience in manufacturing engineering, lean methodologies, project management, plant layout, and facilities integration. A professional engineering qualification (HNC/HND or equivalent) and experience with lean manufacturing and MS Project are preferred.

Responsibilities include:
* Managing capital equipment and facilities projects from initiation to completion
* Deriving system and equipment requirements and producing technical specifications
* Supporting safety assessments and system justification
* Developing and improving equipment and tooling capabilities
* Planning and managing project activities, assessing risks, scheduling resources, and controlling costs
* Supporting installation and commissioning of new equipment
* Identifying process and project improvements using Six Sigma or Lean/CI tools
Ideal candidate:
* Has experience in manufacturing equipment acquisition in regulated industries
* Has project engineering experience with plant budgets, specifications, installation, and commissioning
* Has plant layout and facilities integration experience
* Holds a relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND or equivalent)
* Has lean manufacturing experience and MS Project skills
