Job Purpose
The Federation Secretary will be responsible for the day to day running of the office based in WI House in Prendergast and dealing with enquiries and incoming and outgoing post.
Main Duties
* To keep records and systems up to dare and liaise with officers e.g. Federation Chair/Vice Chairs/Treasure/Committee Chairs etc.
* To source expert help in the event of failure of any office equipment.
* To be the first point of contact with members of NFWI and forward any information to others as appropriate.
* To exchange information on a regular basis with the Treasurer and keep each other aware of business situations, records etc.
* To liaise with the Duty Office and give them appropriate work/duties as necessary.
* Attend weekly meetings with the Group General Manager to keep her/him updated on all aspects of the business with an emphasis on continuous improvement of services and facilities.
* Attend monthly Board of Trustee Meetings and produce minutes.
* The attend Council Meetings twice a year and produce an annual report.
* Attend meetings in place of Group General Manager, locally, nationally and
* Undertake all other reasonable duties as requested by the Board of Trustees.
Qualifications
* Previous office experience and administrative experience is highly desirable
* Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
* Excellent typing skills with attention to detail in all written communication
* A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new systems and processes
