ABL is recruiting for a Document/Project Controller to join its team based in Aberdeen for an initial 12-month period, on a part-time basis. We offer a supportive environment with a great team culture; hybrid working is suitable for this role.


This role will support the ABL Energy team across a variety of project-related tasks and reports directly into the project administration manager.


The Role

The project administrator/document controller is responsible for coordinating documentation activities across multiple departments within ABL. This includes ensuring that all documents are stored correctly, easily accessible and maintained with internal standards in mind.

Roles and responsibilities


* Managing document control processes to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance
* Checking, reviewing, and approving documents before filing
* Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders to verify document categorisation and ensure all information is complete and understandable
* Maintaining organised document repositories and supporting project teams with administrative tasks as required
* Supporting the Project Management and Project Team with all administrative requirement including report formatting and preparing work orders
* Assistance with travel booking and any visa requirements as required by Project Manager or Director
* Database management of contract/legal documents
* Assistance in coordination of Contract Variations, Contractual letters and other commercial materials
* Assist in tendering for securing further work, preparation of price schedules and CTRs to achieve business objectives as identified by the reporting line
* Ensure that Project documentation control meets with Project specific requirements in addition to all applicable internal policies and procedures
* Management of the Master Document Registers (MDR’s), comment sheets, certificates, and survey document transmittals

Work Experience


* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
* Excellent organisational skills, ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
* Good capability with Microsoft Office tools and computer literate
* Attention to detail and quality assurance
* Ability to work professionally in an office environment
