We are seeking a driven and technically skilled Test Technician to join our Powertrain R&D Test and Validation Department at the state‑of‑the‑art Red Bull Technology Campus in Milton Keynes.
In this factory‑based role, you will be hands‑on with a diverse range of Powertrain-related assemblies; from individual components to full PU and vehicle running setups playing a key part in ensuring the performance, reliability, and quality of our systems.
Reporting to the Test Technician Team Leader, you will contribute to the department’s daily operational excellence through:
Key Responsibilities
1. Performing routine sign-off, inspection, and validation of Powertrain components and assemblies.
2. Building test rigs and installations from technical drawings and specifications.
3. Maintaining and supporting dynos, test equipment, and associated facilities to ensure maximum uptime.
4. Accurately recording, analysing, and communicating routine test data.
5. Following and promoting strict health and safety procedures.
6. Maintaining business‑critical documentation with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
What We’re Looking For
Ideally, you will bring experience from one or more of the following environments:
7. A technician role within Formula 1 or high-level motorsport (trackside or factory based).
8. Component or systems testing in F1, high-level motorsport, or OEM environments.
9. Demonstrated ability to work flexibly and effectively under time pressure.
10. A proactive, solution‑focused approach to technical problem solving.
11. Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable Knowledge & Experience
Expertise in any of the following areas would be an advantage:

13. Hydraulic systems
14. Fuel systems
15. Turbocharger testing
16. Test rig control systems
***This is a Monday-Friday day shift position, but there may be the need to move to different shifts in future***
