London Fire Brigade (LFB) is London’s Fire and Rescue Service – one of the largest firefighting and rescue organisations in the world. We are here to make London a safer city.
We employ over 5,500 people, across our operational team (our firefighters), control (our call handlers who answer your 999 calls) and our non-operational team (our teams who work behind the scenes to support our front-line services, including HR, IT, Finance, Procurement, Communications etc.).
We’re seeking an experienced Infrastructure Compliance & Support Analyst to maintain and enhance our critical server and storage environments. The role plays a critical role responsible for supporting the Brigades server environment, ensuring the server and client infrastructure is fully supported, modern and compliant to Cyber Essentials standards.
What you’ll do:
• Support and administer Microsoft & VMware platforms, Active Directory and Azure.
• Assist with the continuous improvement of the infrastructure security posture, deploying security updates and patches to systems in line with Cyber Essentials standards.
• Proactively scan for server infrastructure vulnerabilities and remediate identified vulnerabilities in consultation with wider business owners.
• Assist with disaster recovery planning, and participate in IT health/security checks.
Successful candidates should have experience in the following technical subject matters:
• Current Microsoft Server Operating Systems
• Microsoft System Centre Suite of products
• Microsoft Active Directory Services
• Microsoft Azure & Intune
• Backup and Recovery tools
• Infrastructure Security Products – AV management, patch deployment, vulnerability scanning etc.
