Founded in 2015, Independent Fire Inspections Ltd conduct passive fire protection inspections across the UK. An opportunity has arisen for a driven Business Support Administrator to join our Head Office Team based in Saxilby, Lincoln.
You will be part of a small team in charge of making sure that the text of any product that involves writing, for example inspection reports, are free of any errors, whilst ensuring that the texts are engaging, accessible and understandable to the recipients/readers.
Both proofreading (correcting grammatical and spelling errors) and copy-reading (looking at the work and fixing any problems with style and tone) will be a part of this role.
Key Tasks
· Proof reading
· Answering the telephone, taking and passing on accurate messages
· Receiving deliveries and distributing incoming post
· Filing of correspondence and maintaining up to date records
· Data entry
· Liaising with our inspection team with regards to reports
· Working as part of a team to ensure deadlines are met and optimum customer service is delivered

Essential Skills
· Spelling and grammar - Proof-readers need to have a mastery of the written word. They need to understand how a sentence is read, and how a sentence is spoken. Being proficient in language and writing style is crucial.
· Attention to detail - Important data entry that requires an individual to be meticulous.
· Great customer service
· IT Literate
· Experience of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, Outlook
Desirable Skills
· Experience within an office environment
· Experience of proofreading
