Maintenance Team Leader - Rotating Day & Night Shift
Location: Redditch
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 (including shift allowance)
Shift Pattern: Rotating Days & Nights (12-hour shifts)
Role
As the Maintenance Team Leader, you will manage and support a team of multi-skilled maintenance engineers across a rotating day and night shift pattern. This hands-on leadership role requires strong technical expertise, excellent coordination skills, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement across both mechanical and electrical disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, coach, and coordinate a team of maintenance engineers across mechanical and electrical functions.
* Ensure completion of planned preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and maximise equipment efficiency.
* Provide advanced fault-finding support and technical guidance during breakdowns.
* Assist with installation, commissioning, and integration of new machinery and equipment.
* Drive best-practice maintenance standards, promoting safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all shifts.
Candidate Profile
* Proven background in maintenance leadership within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
* Strong technical expertise across mechanical and electrical systems.
* Good working knowledge of PLCs (Siemens experience advantageous).
* Confident leader with the ability to motivate teams across both day and night shifts.
* Proactive, solutions-focused, and committed to developing people and processes.
Shift Details
* Rotating 12-hour day and night shifts for 3 or 5 days a week.
