MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE BUSINESS:
As an EDM Engagement Manager at Kainos, you’ll fully manage the successful implementation of Employee Document Management application for Workday. You'll work closely with customer business teams and internal delivery teams to drive scope, define, and deliver solutions that are fit for purpose and commercially viable. You’ll take accountability for the complete delivery lifecycle alongside sales and capability Solution Architects. You’ll manage all aspects of your projects, which may include one large, complex project or multiple smaller projects. This includes project planning, resourcing, milestone tracking, commercial management, and customer satisfaction.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Commercially managing the implementation of EDM Product for Workday programmes from pre-sale through implementation to handover to AMS (Application Management Services).
* Acting as the key client interface between functional and technical teams and the client.
* Providing domain experience (HCM, Fins, Payroll, or relevant Workday Capabilities) to offer functional insight and thought leadership.
* Managing all aspects of project delivery including planning, resourcing, milestone tracking, commercial management, and customer satisfaction.
* Leading and supporting teams of colleagues, clients, and partners to share knowledge and develop an integrated delivery approach.
* Setting objectives, outputs, milestones, and timescales with the client, along with contract and commercial terms.
* Identifying requirements, business processes, application configurations, testing plans, and other artifacts to ensure shared understanding and facilitate knowledge transfer.
* Creating well-structured and accurate deliverables and presenting to client steering groups to secure approval.
* Identifying and acting on opportunities to win business, including negotiations and closing at a senior client level.
MINIMUM (ESSENTIAL) REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience implementing Workday (or other ERP systems) with a proven track record of successful solution delivery in a consulting or IT services environment.
* Full lifecycle project management experience, from opportunity identification through to requirement development, solution design, implementation, testing, go-live, and service management.
* Excellent customer focus with the ability to assess needs, build relationships, and manage expectations. Capable of resolving escalations effectively.
* Commercial experience managing geographically dispersed and blended teams of colleagues, clients, and partners to share knowledge and foster an integrated delivery ethos.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to present impactfully to customers and colleagues, including senior audiences.
* Proficiency in business writing, including business cases, requirements documentation, tenders, contracts, and change requests.
* Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and make balanced decisions considering customer demands and commercial factors.
* Support operational functions to optimize the use of our consultant pool, balancing development and personal preferences.
DESIRABLE:
* Workday PM Certification preferred.
* Experience in managing, mentoring, and developing teams.
* Experience with Workday or other SaaS delivery methodologies.
* PRINCE2 or similar certification.
* Strong functional expertise in areas such as HR and Finance.
