Head of Strategy, Programmes and Innovation - B8D
Head of Strategy, Programmes and Innovation (B8D) is a fixed‑term post of 21 months (backfill for a Secondment) within the Digital Services Directorate of NHS Scotland. The role is Board‑wide, reports to the Director of Digital Services and is a member of the eHealth Senior Management Team.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver NHS Scotland’s Digital Strategy across a large number of highly complex programmes and projects, including service reconfiguration and system development.
* Manage day‑to‑day operations of programmes and projects, collaborating with clinical specialties and external stakeholders.
* Provide strategic oversight, staff and financial management, and drive the implementation of strategic change.
* Shape medium‑to‑long‑term Digital Strategy and support associated Innovation programmes.
Required Qualifications and Experience
* Degree level qualification.
* Demonstrated senior‑level strategic experience within the NHS.
* Experience in staff management, financial stewardship and leading strategic change.
* Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
