Night Chef – Bakery
Location: Callington (near Plymouth)
Hours: 6PM – 2AM (Night shifts)
Contract: Temporary (with ongoing opportunities)
About the Role
Berkeley Scott is looking for an experienced and reliable Night Chef to join a busy bakery in Callington. This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is confident with night shifts.
You will play a key role in supporting bakery production overnight, ensuring high-quality standards are met consistently.
Responsibilities
1. Prepare, cook, and assist with bakery production during night shifts.
2. Work efficiently to support deadlines and overnight orders.
3. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene, and health & safety.
4. Adapt to the demands of a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
5. Be flexible and willing to support the team with varied tasks.
Requirements
6. Previous chef experience (bakery or large-scale production experience desirable).
7. Strong knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
9. Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working night shifts.
