We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Computer Science Lecturer to join our dynamic team.

* Full or part-time, permanent
18.5 to 37 hours per week (0.5 - 1.0 FTE)
* Salary£31,000 to £37,000, depending upon hours, qualifications and experience

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Computer Science Lecturer to join our team. You will play a key role in shaping the future of our learners by delivering high-quality teaching across computer science and IT-related subjects. Whether you’re an experienced educator or a skilled industry professional transitioning into teaching, we’d love to hear from you.

Teaching experience is desirable, but confidence in sharing your experience and knowledge is essential. We provide support for gaining a formal teaching qualification alongside your work with us.

The successful candidates will embrace a creative, technology-driven teaching environment. They will build positive relationships with a supportive team of educators and professionals dedicated to providing meaningful educational experiences.

Applicants should have excellent organisational and time-management skills, be adaptable to rapid educational changes, and be capable of planning and prioritising their work effectively. Strong IT skills and a collaborative mindset are essential.

The candidate must be educated to at least Level 4 and able to share their knowledge engagingly to benefit students' passion for the subject.

What we're looking for

Qualifications

* A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to obtain one within 2 years
* A degree or equivalent in a related discipline
* English and Maths at Level 2 (GCSE A* to C or equivalent)

Experience

* Experience teaching at Level 3 or equivalent industry experience
* Experience in an FE/HE environment
* Experience with CAD is desirable

Knowledge & Skills

* Effective communication, presentation, and classroom management skills
* Proficiency with graphic production tools (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)
* Knowledge of programming, software development, and health & safety standards
* Ability to provide high-quality pastoral care and use ICT effectively in teaching
