The candidate recruited for this role will drive business growth and increase referral patients by introducing new patient pathways, creating a shared-care model with NHS hospitals and optical practices, and expanding the referral network. This shared-care model enables NHS patients to access top Eye-Docs surgeons, while optical practices can increase revenue through post-surgical assessments.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Understanding the priorities and future directions of Eye-Docs' business and stakeholders in patient recruitment and management.
2. Developing and expanding the shared-care model within ophthalmic services, including segmenting, outreach, and recruiting primary eye-care providers.
3. Creating innovative co-management treatment pathways to enhance patient care.
4. Developing patient education materials about co-management pathways and treatment options.
5. Supporting optometrist education through CPD events and engagement activities.
6. Building an evidence base of treatment outcomes via post-surgical data analysis.
7. Collaborating with the clinical team to develop and implement projects.
8. Preparing reports, presenting findings, and contributing to academic publications and conferences.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for candidates with either a BSc/Master's in a health-related field (Optometry, Pharmacy, Nursing) or a business/management field (Health Management, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Innovation). As a KTP Associate, you will develop skills in project management, stakeholder engagement, and strategic project delivery, broadening your future career prospects.
Essential experience includes engaging with external stakeholders, managing networks, working in multidisciplinary teams, strategic change management, and effective communication. Desirable experience involves applying skills in a commercial healthcare environment, developing clinical pathways, writing published papers, and working independently within a team.
This project aims to grow Eye-Docs' NHS and private patient numbers, enhance service delivery, and improve patient pathways to drive growth and profitability.
