Eventus Legal are seeking a Legal Administrator to join a highly successful Commercial Property team based in Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne & Wear. This is a permanent job available on a full-time or part-time basis, offering hybrid working and remote working flexibility alongside modern city centre offices located close to Newcastle train station. The successful Legal Administrator will benefit from a competitive salary of up to £28,000 depending on experience, flexible working arrangements, generous annual leave and excellent long-term progression opportunities within a supportive law firm environment.


Role Responsibilities

* Opening and maintaining files using the practice management system
* Carrying out AML checks, media searches and conflict checks
* Audio typing legal correspondence, file notes and documents
* Preparing Commercial Property documentation including leases, contracts and Land Registry forms
* Ordering property searches and assisting with transaction administration
* Preparing invoices, completion statements and payment requests
* Communicating with clients, Solicitors and third parties by telephone, email and in person
* Submitting applications to the Land Registry and requesting office copies
* Providing general administrative support to the Commercial Property department
* Assisting fee earners and colleagues with additional support when required


Person Specification

Applications are sought from Legal Administrators, Legal Secretaries or Commercial Property Secretaries with previous law firm experience. Experience within Commercial Property, Property Law or a similar legal discipline would be advantageous for this Legal Administrator position in Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne & Wear.

* Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
* Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
* A professional and proactive approach to work
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a busy team
* A positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues where needed
