We are looking for experienced Senior Electrical Drafting/Design Engineers to support a complex marine vessel project. This role demands a high level of adaptability, as project information is limited and subject to frequent changes. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, hands-on experience with AutoCAD Electrical, and a solid background in marine systems — particularly in communications and low-voltage DC power integration.
Responsibilities
* Produce and modify electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system layouts using AutoCAD Electrical
* Design and document 24V DC power distribution and communication systems including serial, fibre, coax, and networking components
* Support the integration of electrical and electronic subsystems on a marine platform
* Collaborate with engineering teams and project stakeholders to manage design changes and resolve technical ambiguities
* Ensure all designs align with relevant marine standards and regulatory compliance
* Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback efficiently
Qualifications
* HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent
* Completion of formal AutoCAD Electrical training preferred
Essential Skills
* AutoCad Electrical
* Marine Experience
* Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical
* Strong understanding of 24V DC systems
* Experience with communications infrastructure (serial, fibre, coax, Ethernet)
* Ability to interpret incomplete design data and resolve ambiguities independently
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong organizational and documentation skills
* Comfortable working in a fast-changing project environment
Experience
* Experience with systems integration in marine or defense / naval projects
* Familiarity with classification society rules and maritime electrical standards
