I am recruiting on behalf of my client for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and highly respected manufacturing business with a long-standing reputation for engineering excellence. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to play a key role in supporting production by ensuring machinery, equipment, and site infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards. The successful Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for both preventative and reactive maintenance, contributing directly to operational efficiency and continuous improvement. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for: Carrying out electrical and mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance across production machinery and factory services Diagnosing faults and performing repairs on CNC and PLC-controlled equipment Supporting installation, inspection, and maintenance of electrical infrastructure across the site Delivering planned preventative maintenance schedules and contributing to TPM activities Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health & safety regulations and company procedures Driving improvements in machine reliability and reducing downtime Supporting general building maintenance activities as requiredTo be successful in this Maintenance Engineer role, you will demonstrate: Proven experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical fault-finding skills Experience working with CNC machinery and PLC systems A qualification such as HNC/HND (or equivalent), ideally with further technical development Solid understanding of electro-mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial controls The ability to work independently or as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify root causes and implement long-term solutionsDesirable experience for this Maintenance Engineer position includes: Certification in inspection and testing (e.g. C&G 2391) Knowledge of BS 7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations) Experience working to electrical safety regulations and best practicesIn return, the successful Maintenance Engineer will benefit from: The opportunity to join a stable and growing engineering business A varied and technically engaging role within a modern manufacturing environment Ongoing training and development opportunities A supportive team culture focused on collaboration and continuous improvementIf you are an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking for your next opportunity within a forward-thinking manufacturing environment, I would be keen to speak with you.
