Job Description
We support you in settling into your new location, familiarising with the team and providing a warm welcome from day 1. A member of our Apprentice team at each site will help you progress, protect your study time, support access to digital learning and you’ll have opportunities to get involved with the local community and STEM projects.
What you’ll do as a manufacturing technician Apprentice
You will learn core technician skills, complemented by problem solving and continuous improvement, through a series of placements covering all aspects of manufacture. You will then specialise in one of the following areas:
* Electromechanical assembly
* Electro‑optic assembly
* Electronic test
* Optical test
* Inspection
What we need from you
* An enthusiasm to learn and develop practical and personal skills to complement the business requirements.
* A methodical and practical approach to organising and problem‑solving.
* Good team working skills.
* Initiative, flexibility and a desire to learn and develop.
* Comfortable using common IT applications such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Minimum requirements
3 GCSE grades 9-4 / A* ‑ C or equivalent, including Maths, English and a Science.
Salary
£17,850 per annum.
Security Clearance
This role is subject to pre‑employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). Additional Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply.
