We are seeking a Behaviour Support Worker to join a specialist school in Chorley on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals from youth work, social care, sports coaching, or outdoor education backgrounds who want to make a positive impact on young people’s lives.
Responsibilities:
* Supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
* Providing 1:1 and small group interventions to help students manage behaviour and emotions.
* Encouraging engagement in sports, outdoor learning, and structured activities to support emotional well-being.
* Working closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff to create a positive learning environment.
Qualifications:
* A confident, patient, and resilient individual who can build strong relationships with students.
* Experience in support work, coaching, or outdoor activities is desirable but not essential.
* A genuine passion for helping young people overcome challenges and succeed.
* Willingness to undertake training and professional development.
