About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Adult Carer Support Team. The team provides tailored support to unpaid carers caring for loved ones with health problems and disabilities. Our Volunteers assist with groups, events, and befriending. You will recruit and manage Volunteers to support our team and carers in various capacities.
You will act as an ambassador and advocate, raising awareness of our support services within Alliance Homes and the wider community. We seek a candidate with a modern approach to voluntary services who can deliver high-quality support to help customers enjoy life, overcome challenges, and live well.
About you:
We are looking for someone with experience in managing and supporting volunteers, ideally in a community setting, day care, or care home. Excellent communication skills, knowledge of volunteer work, and an understanding of the challenges faced by unpaid carers are essential.
You should embody positivity, empathy, and passion for the charity sector. Your role will involve linking with communities to promote and identify carers, providing befriending or championing roles for unpaid carers, and supporting the Adult Carers Support team.
The role is primarily 9-5 on weekdays, but flexibility for some weekend or evening work may be required as the service develops.
The successful candidate will be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
