Oakdale Centre CiC Neurodevelopmental Practitioner - Adult Pathway Leeds, North yorkshire, United Kingdom Job title: Neurodevelopmental Practitioner - Adult Pathway (Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, RMN/RNLD, Psychologists) Location: Harrogate/ Leeds/ Halifax/Hybrid/ Remote Hours: Flexible - Full Time (37.5 hours) and part-time positions available (min 22.5 hours per week) Salary: £48,000 - £56,000 About us Oakdale was established over twenty five years ago and is highly regarded as a professional therapy provider. The Oakdale Group provides a range of specialist assessments, including for autism, ADHD, developmental trauma, and attachment. Oakdale also provides psychological therapies for children, young people, and adults. Many of our services are commissioned by the NHS, Local Authorities and schools, and include services for NHS staff. Our services are also accessed by members of the public who pay for them privately, through medical insurance or our charitable arm. Oakdale has clinical centres in Harrogate, Leeds and Halifax and also delivers services from other consulting rooms in the North of England and remotely on a nationwide basis. Oakdale’s multidisciplinary teams consistently receive excellent feedback from clients and commissioners alike. Oakdale values its clinical and administrative teams and strives to ensure that both our clients and our colleagues are at the heart of all that we do. The role The role involves conducting hybrid neurodevelopmental assessments (autism and ADHD) for adults (18 years and over), combining face-to-face and remote methods as part of our multi-disciplinary team. Face-to-face assessments take place at our clinic locations in Horsforth, Halifax, and Harrogate .We are interested in hearing from qualified health professionals who have experience of undertaking ND assessments, ideally with adults; however, we would also welcome applications from experienced practitioners who have undertaken assessments with older children and young people. Oakdale is an agile organisation able to offer flexible hours. The assessments may include some or all of the following, depending upon professional background/ experience. Training will be provided where required in line with service needs alongside supervision: Developmental interviews to explore the client's developmental history relating to autism, ADHD and learning. Face to face elements (where required) of assessments are undertaken by clinicians based at one of our centres, with the developmental history being completed remotely. ADOS-2 Assessments carried out Face to Face QBCheck Cognitive assessments, e.g. WISC-V and WAIS-IV (Psychology applicants only) Liaison with other professionals Additional psychometrics Multidisciplinary team meetings Report writing: full Neurodevelopmental Assessment reports. About you Experience of Autism and/ or ADHD assessments in adults or older children or older children aged 16 plus. Excellent IT skills- including good knowledge of G Suite Experience of using practice Management Systems to record clinical notes and contacts, book and manage outcome appointments. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with adults/families in a supportive and empathic way. Ability to communicate clearly the outcome of assessments Ability to communicate effectively as part of a team. Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary assessment team Qualifications Essential HCPC registration and /or a Professional qualification in one of the following professions: Psychology Nursing (RMN / RNLD) Speech and Language Therapy Social Work Occupational Therapy ADOS trained Experience in writing Clinical Formulations Experience of undertaking autism and/or ADHD assessments Ability to travel Driving licence & access to a vehicle.
