Vanrath is partnering with a respected supplier to the construction, surveying, and infrastructure industries to recruit an Office Administrator. This is a full-time, permanent position with excellent scope for responsibility and development within a supportive team.

About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and organised administrator to be the backbone of our office operations. You will provide key support to both commercial and operational teams, ensuring smooth day-to-day running of the office.
This role suits someone who thrives in a busy environment, can manage competing priorities, and enjoys keeping processes on track while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
Working Hours
* Monday - Thursday: 08:30 - 17:00
* Friday: 08:30 - 15:00 (early finish)
* No weekend work
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day administrative support to operational and commercial teams
* Act as a point of contact for customers and suppliers, ensuring professional communication
* Assist management with scheduling, planning, and follow-up tasks
* Maintain accurate records in internal systems, spreadsheets, and files
* Support operational processes, including documentation and basic cost tracking
* Coordinate deliveries, collections, and other logistics with clear communication
* Help organise diaries, meetings, and office activity
* Monitor and chase outstanding tasks to ensure completion
* Identify opportunities to improve office processes and efficiency
* Work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively
* Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
* Proven experience in an administrative or office support role
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, professional telephone manner
* Highly organised with attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines confidently
* Proactive, self-motivated, and solution-oriented
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
* Willingness to learn new systems and processes
Desirable:
* Previous experience supporting operations, sales, or service teams
* Exposure to logistics, scheduling, or coordination work
* Background in construction, technical, or trade-related sectors
* Familiarity with CRM, ERP, or other internal systems
* Experience supporting senior management
