Overview
Assistant Psychologist – data collection and management role within Lambeth NHS Talking Therapies. The successful candidate will support both clinical and administrative aspects of the service, working closely with Clinical Leads and a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, CBT therapists, PWPs and support workers.
Key Responsibilities
* Collect patient data from the IAPTus electronic clinical system and populate the service database.
* Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on service outcomes, access rates and clinician activity, using advanced Excel skills and formulas to investigate and present data.
* Improve the accuracy and completeness of data in key areas such as diagnosis, clustering, care pathway and patient satisfaction.
* Assist in developing and implementing data collection processes and conduct audits to identify areas of concern.
* Provide real‑time information to supervisors, clinical leads and managers to support service improvement.
Clinical Responsibilities
* Conduct telephone triage assessments, including semi‑structured interviews, risk assessment and outcome measurement.
* Formulate treatment plans and communicate them to clients and other healthcare professionals.
* Facilitate online interventions for clients with anxiety and depression through the Silvercloud programme.
* Progress to a clinical placement at SLaM, delivering one‑to‑one therapy and participating in workshop delivery as appropriate.
Training & Development
Monthly clinical skills training and ongoing supervision by a qualified clinician.
Qualifications & Skills
* Graduate in psychology or a related field.
* Strong Excel and data management skills, with experience analysing and reporting data at a high level.
* Experience in data entry, audit and reporting within a clinical or health service environment.
* Excellent time‑management and organisational skills.
Working Pattern
Full‑time, Monday to Friday 9:00 – 17:00. Remote working up to three days per week with a minimum of two days in the office, including attendance for induction, training and weekly team meetings.
