Accounts Assistant Apprentice – Level 3

About our client:
Our client is an accountancy practice based in Harrow, Wanstead and Central London covering all of London and its suburbs. Established practice with over 25 years of experience 4 Partner firm – mainly ACCA Qualified Registered Auditors and Chartered Certified Accountants.
The role:
Possible start date: ASAP
Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
Total working hours: 35
What you will do in your working day:
1. Bookkeeping – maintenance of client records on excel spreadsheets and Sage Accounts, including sales and purchase invoice controls, receipts and payment analysis, bank reconciliations and VAT reconciliations
2. Assist in preparation of company accounts preparation of various working papers, maintenance of client files and reporting to seniors at the agreed stage of completion
3. VAT – preparation of quarterly VAT Returns for small size companies under the supervision of seniors
4. Payroll preparation of monthly payroll
5. Liaise with clients to ensure record delivery and accounts information in a timely fashion/manner
6. General administration – Provide general support to Senior Accountants where necessary
The training you will receive:
7. Level 3 AAT qualification
8. All training is undertaken online, through a combination of self-paced eLearning and live online classes
9. Functional skills in English & maths if required

11. GCSE or equivalent English (Grade A* – C 9/4) – Desirable
