JOB TITLE: Senior Technical Application Specialist
LOCATION(S): Edinburgh or Birmingham
SALARY: £70,929 - £74,869
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in one of the above office locations
About this opportunity
We're looking to recruit a Senior Technical Application Specialist (TAS) to work in our International & CHAPS Lab providing payment options for all of our customers. Specifically, to support our new industry-leading International Payments Platform (IPP)!
Our strategic roadmap includes a Payments Industry product called Global Payments Plus (GPP). This product is being used to deliver key revenue streams as well as enable mandatory compliance. What follows is what you might find our TAS mostly doing, but your experience will flex depending on the team’s needs, and your own aspirations. What you'll need
You will ideally have xperience with International SWIFT and Payments snd have integrated 3rd Party packages, customized solutions, and implemented rules-based engineering.
1. You’ll have all-around knowledge of the software development lifecycle, ideally within a modern Agile engineering function
2. You’ll have good communication & teamwork skills
3. You'll have good Problem-solving skills within a technical environment
4. You'll be able to work with 3rd party supplier to drive defect management
5. You'll be able to support planning and implementing production changes
6. Develops product specifications while designing testing procedures and standards
7. Adept solutions designer and problem solver
8. In depth Hands-on configuration experience with Finastra Global Payplus (GPP) product to meet complex requirements
9. Proven experience using these technologies would be advantageous: Java EE (J2EE), SQL, Oracle, Unix/Linux, MQ, WebSphere, UrbanCode
10. Experience in use of Agile tooling is essential
