From November 2025 until at least March 2026 we will berunning a new DVT service in Swindon and are looking for a sonographer to joinour team on a casual/bank basis.
We also have an NHS urology service in Swindon along with other services in Gloucestershire and BNSSG (Bristol, North Somerset, SouthGlos). Please contact us if you would like to find out more about these services.
Main duties of the job
To be proficient in performing ultrasound examinations in a diagnostic DVT service and provide a clear and concise report in line with local guidelines. To utilise specialist ultrasound knowledge to ensure that images are of the highest diagnostic quality. To maintain professional standards and effective communication to assist in the delivery of an efficient and effective community ultrasound service. You will be a key part of team where the ability to use your own initiative, multi-task, act unsupervised and prioritise activity are all essential.

Job responsibilities
As a key member of our clinical team, you will deliver a high standard of patient care and administrative duties within community outpatient clinics. Working with a team consisting of a Nurse, Healthcare Assistant and Sonographer or Vascular Scientist, you will contribute to the delivery of safe and efficient clinics ensuring patient dignity and confidentiality are respected. The ability to use your own initiative, multi-task, and work under pressure are all essential.
