The role is based in Halifax and after a probationary period, there may be scope for remote working.
Responsibilities
* LPC qualified paralegal wanted to undertake Defended Debt work.
* Experience will be SQE qualifying.
* This is an opportunity for an LPC qualified candidate to gain litigation experience working on disputed and defended claims for commercial clients in the finance and utility sectors. The successful candidate will undertake the whole range of defended work including:
* Preparing court forms
* Analysing and advising on the merits of cases
* Liaising with clients on issues arising from their cases
* Drafting correspondence and witness statements
* Preparing for interlocutory applications
* Arranging and instructing advocates to appear at final hearings
* There may also be an opportunity to undertake advocacy at remote hearings
* You will be part of a small experienced team led by a senior solicitor and assisted by a junior paralegal and a senior paralegal.
