Reception Duties Welcome and assist patients and visitors in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner Answer incoming telephone calls, deal with queries, take messages, and redirect calls as appropriate Register new patients and process relevant documentation in line with practice policy Book, amend, and cancel appointments using the SystmOne patient management system Process prescription requests, hospital letters, and other patient-related documentation Administration Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and input data into SystmOne Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including scanning, coding, and distributing correspondence Assist clinicians and staff with administrative tasks such as referrals, test results, and filing Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times in line with GDPR and practice policies Contribute to the effective running of the practice by supporting colleagues as required Teamwork and Practice Support Work closely with the reception and administration team to provide consistent cover and support Attend team meetings and training sessions as required Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the practiceUphold the values of the NHS and the practice at all times
