HCSW - Lothian Unscheduled Care Out of Hours Service (LUCS)
Primary Care Emergency Centre Health Care Support Worker
LUCS provides primary care services to patients when local GP practices are closed (6pm – 8am Monday to Friday and 24 hours a day at weekends and on public holidays). LUCS covers a patient population of approximately 887,600 across the City of Edinburgh and throughout East, West and Midlothian.
We are looking to increase our compliment of HCSWs in our Primary Care Emergency Centres. The hours offered will be for a maximum of 30 hours per week on a flexible shift basis.
The post holder will work within the nursing team and report to the trained nurse on shift. The HCSW will contribute to maintaining high standards of HAI and HEI compliance and, with training, will provide support to the wider clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to enhance their skills or role. The successful candidates will receive training as required and will work within the PCECs on a Pan Lothian Contract.
