We are seeking a caring and motivated Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school team in Devon on an ongoing long-term temporary basis, beginning in October 2025.
This school was rated "Good" at their last Ofsted inspection, and their primary focus is on fostering a safe and happy learning environment for their students, while maintaining high standards for behaviour and progress. The successful candidate will support pupils’ learning and development both inside and outside the classroom, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Duties as Teaching Assistant:
* Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
* Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons and activities.
* Help maintain a safe, welcoming and well-organised classroom environment.
* Support pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural development.
* Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities where appropriate.
Ideal Teaching Assistant:
* Experience working with children or young people in a mainstream educational setting.
* A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3) is preferred but not mandatory.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team as a Teaching Assistant.
* A caring, patient and flexible approach.
