Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: ReadingStart Date: September 2025Salary: £105 - £145 per day (depending on experience)Contract: Full-time, long-term
An inclusive and welcoming primary school in Reading is looking to appoint a confident and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support teaching and learning across the school. This is a full-time, long-term role starting in September 2025.
What you'll be doing:
* Leading whole-class lessons in the absence of the teacher
* Delivering group interventions and supporting pupil progress
* Assisting with planning, preparation, and assessments
* Supporting behaviour management and pupil wellbeing
* Collaborating with teachers and SENCO to support individual learning needs
What we're looking for:
* HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
* Proven experience supporting teaching and learning in a primary school
* Ability to lead lessons independently
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* A nurturing, proactive approach to pupil development
