Position Overview
University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for the Head of Organisational Development (OD). This senior role partners with the Director of Education, Training and Workforce to deliver key elements of the Trust’s People Strategy, ensuring that staff are supported, included, and empowered to thrive.
What you’ll do
* Lead the design and delivery of evidence‑based OD interventions covering leadership development, inclusion, staff engagement, and cultural improvement.
* Provide expert OD advice and influential thought‑leadership within the People agenda to support the Trust’s strategic and operational priorities.
* Embed and evolve the Leadership Framework, team development practices and the Inclusion and Belonging Strategy across the organisation.
What we’re looking for
* Extensive OD experience backed by formal qualifications or equivalent experience, particularly at senior level in large, complex organisations.
* Proven expertise in OD diagnostics, analytics and translation of findings into tailored solutions.
* Current knowledge of leadership, inclusion, belonging, engagement and organisational transformation, with a record of designing and delivering wide‑scale cultural programmes.
* Strong influence on leaders at all levels, experience managing teams, and experience working with external providers.
