Role Outline:
We are looking for individuals with a passion for youth development to deliver engaging and impactful workshops in and around the above London boroughs. The Youth Workshop Facilitator will work with young people, helping them develop confidence, leadership skills, and career aspirations through interactive sessions. You will travel to various sites, delivering sessions to a diverse range of young people in both primary and secondary schools and supporting them in their personal and professional growth. You must be energetic, adaptable, fun, and open to feedback to continuously improve. Training will be provided to ensure you can deliver meaningful and inclusive workshops that inspire young people.
This role will be part of an exciting initiative that uses sports and leadership training to empower young people from deprived communities. By facilitating engaging workshops, you will contribute to their personal development, helping them build essential life skills and navigate future opportunities with confidence.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver interactive and engaging youth workshops focused on leadership, team building and personal development.
- Adapt sessions to meet the diverse needs of young people with differing abilities from a variety of backgrounds.
- Work closely with the SportInspired Programme Manager and school staff to ensure sessions run smoothly and effectively.
- Keep attendance records and report on session outcomes in a timely manner.
- Ensure sessions are safe, inclusive, and engaging for all participants.
Must Haves:
- FUN, energetic, and enthusiastic approach.
- An understanding and passion for the benefits of sports, physical activity and leadership training.
- Experience working in a youth setting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport quickly.
- Sensitivity to different cultures, beliefs, and traditions.
- Open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement.
- Agile and adaptable, with the ability to think on your feet.
Nice to Haves:
- Have gained or are working towards a relevant degree (e.g., sports coaching, youth work, teaching, social work, or other youth-related fields).
- Previous experience facilitating leadership or youth development workshops.
