Job Details
Full-time 5 days/ 37.5 hours per week. Salary £40,000 - £55,000 GBP or €40,000 - €55,000 EUR, depending on experience plus performance bonus scheme. Remote option available; office preferred for candidates in Bristol, UK or Málaga, Spain.

Artelier is a leading international art consultancy based in the UK and Spain. We work on iconic projects internationally, including public art, exhibitions, private residential, yachts/aviation, corporate and hotel projects.
Required Experience & Education
* At least 10 years’ professional experience researching, curating, designing, and managing FF&E and art for international commercial, hospitality, and private projects – not galleries and museums.
* Minimum university degree level in project management and/or an architecture, interiors/design, or an art‑related subject.
Highly Desirable Criteria
* Track record of delivering large‑scale and complex international design projects and programmes.
* Experience managing budgets over £1m.
* Knowledge of international shipping, imports/exports, and overseas logistics solutions.
* Team leadership, able to inspire and manage a team of 5 or more.
* Experience working closely with client teams and managing project relationships.
* Experience managing suppliers – preferably artists and galleries.
* Proficient with project management software, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), and AutoCAD.
* Portfolio of design work and curation for projects – concept presentations through detailed design, specification, and documentation, preferably with art elements.
* Passion for modern and contemporary art, with a genuine desire to expand knowledge in this field.
Key Responsibilities
Art Research & Curation
* Research artists and maintain extensive knowledge of contemporary art, craft, and design, including detailed processes and materiality.
* Lead a cutting‑edge approach to art curation, staying ahead of the latest art world and design developments relevant to our industries.
* Develop sophisticated, well‑researched, and contextually relevant art concept presentations.
* Refine concept presentations through schematic design mark‑ups on floor plans, elevations, and renders.
* Prepare detailed design documents and schedules with item specification, procurement details, and supplier information.
* Liaise with suppliers to establish stock levels, commissioning details, and arrange sampling.
* Attend project sites to curate pieces and sign off final presentations.
* Maintain strong understanding of artistic processes, materials, and production methods to support decision making and quality control.
* Conduct research into artists, materials, and techniques to source suitable suppliers for artwork production, framing, and installation.
* Review DD documents and verify artwork specifications before supply.
* Manage orders and contracts with artists, oversee the commissioning process, and proactively address potential challenges with specific artworks.
* Collaborate with artists to troubleshoot technical or aesthetic issues with artworks as they arise.
* Oversee artwork inspections at studio and storage facilities, ensuring quality standards are met and escalating issues to the Director when necessary.
Project Management & Delivery
* Manage project timelines, track progress of artwork orders, and provide regular reports to the Director.
* Liaise with clients to provide regular updates, including schedules, sampling, artwork progress, and completion.
* Supervise and support project assistants and art technicians to ensure project goals are achieved.
* Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring delivery within budget. This includes obtaining quotes, placing orders, tracking payments, and presenting a financial summary report to the Director upon completion.
* Track client payments and liaise with the Director to ensure cash flow.
* Coordinate with shipping partners to arrange large complex international shipments, obtain quotes, collate invoices, and prepare required export documentation.
* Liaise with clients during delivery to ensure smooth logistics.
* Develop and maintain relationships with trusted logistics and shipping partners.
* Visit sites to oversee installation of international projects and coordinate installation teams for a smooth on‑site delivery.
General
As a small company you will also be involved in other day‑to‑day administrative tasks, client‑facing duties, and travel to key suppliers, clients, and project locations.
