This role is ideal for drivers seeking flexible ad‑hoc work, covering holiday and sickness requirements, while still enjoying consistent daytime shifts and a professional working environment. About the Role Drivers will be responsible for delivering palletised packs of cement, typically around 19 pallets per load, to various customer sites across the region. All loads are securely palletised, ensuring a clean, straightforward delivery process with minimal manual handling required. Shift Pattern Monday to Friday Optional weekend work during busy periods Start time: 07:00 Finish time: approx. 16:00 Hours may vary depending on workload and route demands Pay Rate £15.49 per hour Weekly pay through The Best Connection Key Responsibilities Complete pre‑use vehicle and safety checks to DVSA standards Safely transport palletised cement products using a Class 1 vehicle Follow all site-specific instructions and health & safety guidelines Maintain clear and professional communication with the transport office Complete all delivery paperwork accurately Represent TBC in a professional manner at all times Candidate Requirements Valid Class 1 (CE) licence Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph cards Previous Class 1 experience desirable Reliable and punctual Understanding of safe loading, securing pallets, and route safety Ability to work flexibly to cover holiday and sickness demands Assessment All drivers must complete a short driving assessment with the client prior to starting.
