We are looking to recruit a Specialty Grade Doctor. We have a talented team of dedicated consultants working in a friendly, flexible and cohesive group. We are enthusiastic, welcoming and proactive in supporting special interests. We wish to recruit a Specialty Grade Doctor to join our team. We are supported by a strong team across Berkshire and Surrey Pathology Service consisting of 36 consultants and 3 Specialty Doctors cross 5 Trusts and 6 sites. The department is supported by a comprehensive technical laboratory team with the hub site for St Peter's being based at Royal Surrey Hospital where all processing and BMS cut takes place.
Deliver Clinical, Educational, Managerial Services of the highest professional standard at Consultant Level to the Department
Work with existing consultants and the multi-disciplinary team to provide a high quality well-led service for patients of Ashford & St Peter's, including the diagnosis, investigations, treatment and management of patients, in accordance with Trust policies and practices.
Deliver Direct Clinical Care to patients, through all parts of the Department assisting clinical decision-making and sharing equally in the workload.

This is a general histopathology department. All main diagnostic specialties including breast, urology, gastrointestinal, skin and gynecology are represented. Specimens from smaller specialties such as lung and head and neck pathology are also received. The successful candidate will be involved in all activities of the department including macroscopic dissection, diagnostic reporting, and MDT representation (as a cover). There is currently no sessional commitment to cytopathology.
The post holder will participate in EQA schemes, Education and Training, Clinical Audit, Clinical Risk Management and the Clinical Governance activities of the Department and the Trust and ensure full and proper records are completed for this purpose.
There is no requirement for on call.
