About The Role/school
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming co-educational primary academy in Twickenham, supporting children aged 4-11. Job Responsibilities
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, You Will
* Provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
* Work closely with class teachers and the SENDCo to implement personalised learning plans.
* Support the delivery of engaging lessons across the curriculum.
* Encourage pupil independence, confidence, and resilience.
* Contribute to creating an inclusive classroom environment.
* Promote positive behaviour and provide emotional support when needed.
Qualifications/Experience
To be successful as a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will need:
* An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered with the Update Service.
* The right to work in the UK.
* Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within a school is desirable.
* A proactive, patient, and caring approach to working with children.
