I’m looking for an experienced Electrical QC Inspector to join a well-established engineering manufacturer in Poole. This is a hands-on role within a high-spec marine/defence production environment, carrying out electrical quality checks, inspections, and sign-offs on complex electrical systems.
If you’ve got strong electrical knowledge, a sharp eye for detail, and experience working to IPC/ISO standards, this could be a great long-term move.
What you’ll be doing
Inspecting electrical installations, looms, harnesses, panels, and assemblies
Carrying out continuity tests, insulation checks, and functional testing
Verifying electrical work against engineering drawings and schematics
Completing sign-off documentation and quality reports
Ensuring builds meet internal standards and customer specifications
Supporting production teams with technical queries and fault investigations
Working closely with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues efficiently
Maintaining high standards of compliance, safety, and workmanshipWhat I’m looking for
Background in marine, aerospace, defence, automotive, or technical manufacturing
Strong electrical assembly or installation experience
Experience in quality inspection, testing or sign-off
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, layouts, and technical drawings
Knowledge of IPC, ISO, or MOD standards would be an advantage
